I find almost none of my shibari kink is about restrainment (?), but in the act of surrender, to oneself and ones sensations, but also to give away/surrender control and agency in a way that actually reaffirms your agency, and of course to surrender oneself to the moment, to the creation, sharing and feeling that any scene should be.
