Not really, depending on the earrings. Personally I find a nice comfy pair of smaller hoops, usually, that I can comfortably shower and sleep with. I’ll wear those until I get tired of them and then find something else.
I haven’t worn them recently, but the jingling is actually what got me into earrings. I liked having slightly dangly earrings and so when I shook my head they would jingle delicately.

I’ve got small gauges, I just don’t feel them at all. I could see more dangling jewelry being kind of irritating…
