Try Oxygen Not Included, you’ll have to think of a material, its thermal conductivity and melting point
ONI is basically gamified thermodynamics
Without conservation of energy. The game revolves around finding exploity ways to delete energy.
I love ONI and have put several hundred hours into it, but Factorio certainly spoiled me in terms of game engine performance. My word ONI runs like crap comparatively. 😅
Thermal/fluid dynamics and the differential equations that govern them are a bitch to compute even when working with toy models. Those really cool somewhat accurate simulations of fluid movement in ONI come at a cost.
We all know that water vapor can stay inside them for days and not change temperature…
What makes me wonder, what is the heat conductivity of iron in factorio?
It has to be a perfect insulator right?
Everything in Factorio is perfect.
