What’s the deal with priests being child predators?

I have always wondered if statistically they are more prone to become child predators, or if it is media bias because it is more shocking when it is a person that should be preaching morality.

Anyone has numbers on this?

My belief is that they have a higher chance to become child predators and the reason is that their minds get f’d up once they are deprived of a marriage. They need to go after the ones who will stay quiet about their desires.

But that’s just a theory.
