Yeah! All aluminum cans have a thin plastic lining. So do soup cans. They’re still both better than plastic packaging, but it just shows how difficult it is to completely remove plastic from your life.

I drink a lot of beverages that come in aluminum cans so I am reaaaally hoping that they have less microplastic risk than 100% plastic packaging does.

They have excellent iced tea, too. They’re sweetened with agave nectar, so the whole 20 ounce can only has like 6 grams of sugar and isn’t too sweet.

Liquid Death isn’t bottled, it’s canned. They’re whole gimmick is “death to plastic” which is a little ironic considering that aluminum cans have a plastic lining.

Still, it’s a great product. They’ve eliminated 99.9% of the plastic, so I think the slogan still works.

People seem to have forgotten (perhaps deliberately in the case of tankies) that when Russia first invaded Ukraine and still thought they would win in three days, they started digging mass graves. That Z symbol they carry on their tanks is a symbol of ethnic cleansing. They want to replace the Ukrainian people with Russians.

I wear Bedrock sandals as often as I can. I only switch to shoes when the temp won’t be going above 50 for the day. Previously I have always worn Xero shoes, but I was thinking about replacing them with a Lem shoes/boots. I like Xero, but they’re a little too minimal for a lot of conditions. I’m hoping Lem have a slightly thicker sole.

I don’t “hate” Coldplay, I nothing them. I don’t care for their sound at all, but am routinely forced to listen to it in stores. I resent being forced to listen to music, but don’t hate the bands themselves.

The stores who play ten songs on a loop can go fuck themselves, however.

Ever heard of Jakob? They’re a post-rock trio from New Zealand and they make gorgeous music with shoegaze-like guitar and one of the best drummers I’ve ever heard. They’re one of the best post-rock bands out there and just as good as MONO with a similar sound. If you like Mogwai I imagine you’ll like Jakob.

It’s an excellent album. I love the shoegaze vibes, which are more prominent than the post-rock sounds this time.

This is particularly poignant as an autistic person. Being told to calm down when there’s fucking nuclear reaction levels of anxiety going on in your brain is a level of condescension that would set off even the calmest motherfucker on the planet if they could experience this for even 5 fucking seconds.

So, specific terpenes might make people sleepy? Even if that’s the case, it still increases their heart rate. So the people who get stoned before bed have elevated heart rates while sleeping, which could cause adverse effects on sleep quality. I’m no sleep expert so I don’t know if a higher heart rate while sleeping is an issue, though.

It’s cool to hear that they are real Christians who act like Christ would and defend the downtrodden like they’re supposed to. I would think that criticism aimed towards conservatives from a famous Christian band would have more impact, not less.

Weed is a stimulant. I’ve always had trouble sleeping and people have always suggested weed, and I’ve always told them it doesn’t help because it’s a fucking stimulant and makes it harder to fall asleep and they look at me like I’m the crazy one.
