yup that’s right, I have a Redmi 9A that uses the MTK chip. I can unlock the bootloader in a few minutes and I don’t have to wait weeks to unlock the bootloader.

Yes, I think it’s still a problem
Even if Gemini App Activity is off, Gemini will still get access to these tools on your mobile phone. So how would the user know which feature setting this applies to and how they can stop this?

I have some Linux installed on my x240, Mini PC, and 12th Gen Intel Core i3 laptop with ZRAM without any issues.
Here are screenshots of the dual boot Linux on my old Mini PC, Celeron with 8GB RAM and 500GB HDD

Yeah I guess, if you already have Android phone without Google Assistant or Gemini installed.
It’s probably already installed on the latest Android phones.

No, I never tried running it on Linux, I don’t think it would work well with Wine. Because the unlocking tool requires access to USB port.

Unfortunately no, I use a cheap xiaomi phone as a daily driver.
Yes, Xiaomi phones are the worst when it comes to privacy. Fortunately, it has communities and many custom roms. I just need to install the custom rom without installing gapps.

On the subject of privacy, they’re both the same. They’re runs on top of Gapps, which has access to the Android system. Anything you type, what you do, or what you think. They will send all the data to Google’s servers and feed the AI. And Google probably knows you better than you know yourself.

of course, you don’t want M$ Copilot digging into your porn history, do you?

In SMTP/POP3 sessions never required that kind of information. Unless you’re using their apps like Google Mail or M$ Outlook, they might send those kind of information to their servers, but that’s outside from SMTP/POP3 sessions.
You should avoid using VPN with Google account, your Google account can get banned.

I don’t think they going to stop now. They even forced users to create Windows accounts in order to use Windows 11. They will also force Copilot to be installed on Windows 11.
Did we ever ask M$ for this AI spy tool? No.

That’s one of the reasons I use Linux as my daily driver. I’m not playing high end games, I only play old windows games from my childhood.
is there any benefit? unless you are the target of spy agencies. but I don’t think it’s worth it.
stay away from mainstream social media, better yet use custom ROMs and don’t install gapps. use system-wide adblockers or change your DNS in addition to ISP DNS.
remember, government agencies can always buy your data from data brokers.
if possible, don’t use M$ Windows, it sends telemetry to M$ server.
for example I use Linux as my daily driver, and I still use dnscrypt-proxy to avoid government censorship

In my opinion, EU needs to force PC/laptop and other hardware manufacturers to provide drivers for Linux. Without this step, it will make it harder for them to move away from M$ Windows.
We gonna fork him into isekai world!

thanks, that explains why some of my posts are also copied to other instances 🤔
I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. Perhaps I will use it as network storage. it has an external SATA port, so I can add another storage.
At first I just wanted to learn arch-based Linux. But I found it easier to learn OMV, as it has a similar learning curve to Debian and Ubuntu-based distros.
suprisingly, we have more posts this week 👀
Two weeks ago I installed dual boot EndeavourOS and OpenMandriva on my potato Mini PC (Celeron 1007U, 8GB RAM, 500 GB HDD), but I haven’t gotten around to fiddling with it yet. 🙄
Just by looking at the value of drug imports to the US, most likely
