Not all Democrat voters, but a lot were incapable of even acknowledging that Genocide Joe was in mental decline before he dropped out. Heck some of them are still convinced he would have won despite the campaign now acknowledging that they predicted Trump would have gotten 400 electoral college votes had he stayed in.

Rather than have a quick primary to find a replacement, they coronated another genocide supporter. This was wholly unpopular with the public & people most likely to vote Democrat, with recent polls suggesting had Kamala deviated from Biden on Israel that she could have got 13 million more votes.

When people reminded them how unpopular genocide was before the election they were quick to ban or censor any dissenting opinions on the subject, rather than to call for Kamala to do anything different. They censored & ridiculed the most sensible voices which ended up costing them the election.

None of this supports your assertion that the commenter above helped get Trump elected?

      recent polls suggesting […]

I’d like to see those polls. This doesn’t really make much sense to me. If you wanted someone to reduce casualties in Israel, why would you vote for Trump?

There were people protesting about genocide outside democrat rallies. Weird that no one was protesting about that outside Trump rallies.

I think it’s a grave mischaracterization to say dissenting opinions on genocide were banned or censored. Since the dawn of time, campaigning politicians haven’t wanted to talk about issues that they’re unable or unwilling to solve.

I didn’t vote for Trump, but I didn’t vote for the genocide supporter Kamala either. I’ve saw countless opinions or any dissent when it came to Palestine get people banned from communities that were all pushing the same, “Kamala ran a flawless campaign” communities. Here you people are again unable to look in the mirror to figure out why you lost & helped Trump get reelected. You want to blame anyone & everyone, but can’t look in the mirror to figure out why you lost so much support.

So you didn’t vote for Kamala, criticised her campaign, and are here accusing Dem supporters of helping Trump get elected.

Sorry mate that’s just all sorts of ass-backwards bonkers.

I don’t see many people saying that Kamala ran a flawless campaign. It’s pretty obvious that the Dems did a pretty terrible job, but to strut around saying everyone else helped Trump get elected just because they werent more critical of Kamala is just daft.

Oh shit, the leaders of the Democratic Party are on Lemmy? No wonder they lost, I wouldn’t trust you Lemmings with running a gas station, never mind a country!
