Lol, yeah I followed this trial as it was happening and I remember them bringing up this bullshit accusation, but then never actually charging him because the charge was exactly that, bullshit.
My understanding is that it never went to trial as they didn’t have enough to build a case on, and because he was already expected to be in prison for the rest of his life, anyway.
I wonder if they’ll re-open this investigation now.
