It might be the file type of the video, like .mov, .mp4, .webm, .gif, .gifv?
That is definitely a factor for a hoster like catbox.moe, but I would assume that most tube sites and redgif would re-encode a video to the same format, no matter in which format you upload it?
You’re right. I’m thinking about catbox.moe. The other sites ought to re-encode.
