I’ve apparently been living under a rock and hadn’t heard about this. He’s a predator, my god. How sad for the women he assaulted, and how disappointing for his fans.

It is difficult. In some ways some things are more important than their creators, but also, if someone is a shit person, and you can avoid enriching them further and allowing them to continue to be shit. I’m just fine with that. I can still read and enjoy my sandman graphic novels if I feel the need. I can still enjoy and appreciate the beauty of them knowing he’s not getting more money or a pass for being a piece of shit human

I’ve read the entirity of Sandman once a year for the last few decades since I was a teenager and loved the first season.

      But…

      A) There was never a third season planned

      and

      B) Not funneling money to a systemic abuser is more important anyways.

I didn’t know that. I do feel better, but they must be truncating the rest of the story quite a bit.

They’re just reporting it again to make it seem like the decision was made because of the allegations against him. It gets them ad revenue, in other words.

If copyright law were sensible no one would have to involve him or DC Comics to make whatever Sandman work they wanted.
