I appreciate how well made are the characters in this style, I immediately recognized them and the comic strip they were into.

Dude is being a bit harsh. I got through it fine, don’t stress on it.
It should be “[…] how well made the characters are[…]”.
And “[…] the comic strip they are in.”
But it was clear enough what the intended meaning was.
