I just got a ban for “encouraging violence”. Someone asked “what will you do to celebrate when he dies?” Someone else started talking about how they have a fantasy about getting the death note and how they’d put that to use. I chimed in with my silly fantasy of using a seance to end politicians’ careers by getting them possessed by the ghost of GG Allin, and enjoying the mayhem that would ensue.
So, anyway, right after that, I found out that all the people who were so transgressive to have actually liked that comment of mine can, as of a couple days ago, expect punishment as well. How draconian.
And so that was that. No sense in being lorded over on the internet by the same people who run HOAs. It’ll be fun watching Reddit flush itself down the toilet from over here, I expect.
Can confirm, have made the move. It was only a matter of time before that place went down the fascist watch list.

Gotta get rid of my Google account next.
I’m working on getting rid of Google, but it is linked into so many things it’s going to take a lot of time to do it completely.
I’ve moved away from Chrome as a browser and Google as a search engine. I’m starting to disconnect other accounts I’ve logged into using Google as well.
I’m setting up new email accounts - I’m using my own domain name so I can move in future instead of feeling so tied to one provider.
At some point I need to look at Google drive/photos - I think there are a couple of things that synchronize through there still. The find my phone service is tied into Google. All my apps are downloaded from the Play store, and there are a few things tied into Google Wallet.
I can get rid of the main bits, but I think it’s going to take years to get rid of it all.
I’ve degoogled and life is sweet.
I lean right and they banned me. It’s not about being left leaning or right leaning. Either you’re far one way or another or you’re not welcome anymore.
They definitely don’t like the far left, they’re banning people for saying “eat the rich”. Amidst leftists that’s protected cultural speech, it’s our version of hello.
What they hate right now is mostly pretty random, but I think they’re going for a pro authoritarian schtick. It’s a bold move, cotton.
And meanwhile all the mods over there are doing everything in their power to show absolute loyalty to u/spez when he doesn’t even pay them lol. Fuck u/spez.
Good luck. Assuming you have a smart phone, it’s either Apple or Android. But I get the feeling that you are not an apple simp, and most Android devices require Google to even set up.
