I wouldn’t say intense desire but there have been guys who were attractive to me for no reason, I didn’t like their looks, didn’t know them well, but they were somehow really hot. My only guess is that maybe they just smelled biologically compatible.

What you are talking about though - I’d bet money it’s just the forbidden aspect. You want what you can’t have because you can’t have it. If she was a free woman and you had to actually negotiate all the relationship stuff, I bet you wouldn’t feel the same way.
