I have checked, posts that I have absolutely seen by the same users from the same communities show back up again at random after a while, the hide now, or hide all above options just don’t seem to work very well

Are you changing profiles? I notice them popping up for each profile on an instance federated with the post’s instance
No I have multiple accounts but only my main is on connect
