That movie should have gotten way more accolades, such a fantastic film. Also, District9 kinda always felt like it had a bit of the Isreal/Palestine conflict feeling to it.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink4•9 months agoThat’s cos D9 was about apartheid so you saw a modern apartheid state and saw a correlation. Neil Blomkamp is South African. D9 was about the group areas act that removed people from their homes into townships all over South Africa.
