      It really is always something we’re thinking about. Once when I was really young and naive, I was dumb enough to let a date drive me home. He went past the turn off for my house and didn’t say anything. I absolutely freaked out inside, convinced I was going to have something terrible happen to me. I hadn’t let anyone know where I was, or who I was with. I would have no chance of fighting back either, I’m not strong enough to fight off a guy who outweighs me by 50 lbs.

      Fortunately he was just really fucked up in a different way. He felt the need to introduce me to his parents… he didn’t feel the need to give me a heads up about that though.

      Ever since that day I always drive myself (or take a cab) and no one knows personal info like my phone number or address until I completely trust them.

        Yeah that’s terrifying. If I were ever to go with anyone on a date by car, even as a guy, I wouldn’t get in their car, either!
