There’s a special kind of arrogance it takes to look at big, complex, thorny problems that arise in politics and go “I can fix it”. That and tech bros are the new finance bros, so used to being lauded in their space that they just wander into other spaces and assume that they’re already well-regarded experts and that the reason those areas still have unsolved problems is just that no one has thought about the solutions hard enough yet.
