And in this scientific relationship we find the basis for the healing of sin. That homosexuality is a deviation from the moral law is made plain in the Bible, where it is recorded that the Lord spoke to Moses saying, "If a man ... lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them." Lev. 20:13;
In Jesus' Sermon on the Mount we find the harshness of the Mosaic law modified. We also find emphasis placed more on motives than on overt acts. But we do not find any actual change in the rightness or wrongness of behavior in regard to sex. Lust is explained as a thing of the heart, and Christian Science shows that the motives of the heart govern the acts of the body as well as the health of the body.
