City officials conducted on the spot inspections of several gay bars in downtown Seattle and posted ‘Lewd Conduct’ violations to three bar owners. Two for jock straps and one for a bartender’s exposed nipple. There were no alcohol or other violations found.
This has created an uproar in the city, and nationally in the LGBTQ+ covering press. City officials say, it’s the law, they must enforce it. Patrons and LGBTQ+ community members say it feels like selective targeting of their community for absurd reasons.
I’m from Seattle! People are talking about this everywhere. Completely ridiculous and an utter waste of tax money.

Have to protect the citizens from dangerous influences.
