I tried to make a video, but because the audio was terrible and the lighting not great I just salvaged the material for two “GIFs”.

    Erome is something I kind of know about because of its popularity with NSFW Reddit posters (at least, it was popular among them when I still used Reddit 😉). It is perhaps more straightforward to use, but it is also more than just a place to store things you want to share elsewhere. And it has some degree of tracking according to my adblocker, but not crazy much. Then again, it is a more commercially-oriented place than Catbox which comes with (e.g. the aforementioned) pros and cons.

    P.S.: so you do actually do as other Lemmies and I are doing, albeit more privately than in a post?

      That sounds like what I would want, a place to store that I can share as I’d like. There are pros and cons to both I’m sur, but it kind of defeats the purpose to upload a video if it loads like it’s 1999 😂

      And yes I do share myself if people ask, it’s just done via DMs or through Matrix chat 😉

      So if you ever try the other place, there’s a 24 hour waiting period before you can upload and apparently they automatically set solo male content to private… in case you were wanting to post for everyone to see 🙂

      ETA: Oh if you use a VPN as well, you can’t use one when signing up or uploading.

        I wonder however, whether you could still share links if set on private. Also, given the fact you do not publicly post your photos here either, would you not want that too? That is, only people with a link being able to see? Else everyone (all browsing Erome for example) could see as well.

          You can share them, I did a couple of tests 🙂

          I should have been more clear, sorry. The other info was more of an FYI for you because you said you hadn’t made an account there yet. It’s well-suited for me I think, but there is an engagement rule as well which I didn’t really look at yet - if you don’t receive a certain amount of views they shutter your account. So I’ll see how it goes 🙂
