Yup! I don’t have a PS5 but I’d have already bought it on Steam if it was out. Now since I have to wait anyway, I’ll probably just wait for it to go on sale since the hype is gone.

Same here, I’ve not heard any spoilers but the general concensus being it’s largely underwhelming has stoked my patience.

If they drop it on pc, I’ll grab it on sale… if not, oh well.

I bought 16 on PS5 at release and it’s definitely worth waiting for a sale. The combat is pretty great but I find the story pretty mediocre (although I haven’t finished it yet) and the world is just so drab and full of predictable characters. This is Final Fantasy, give us some colour! In FFVI you could play as a Yeti teaming up with a girl who paints her enemies to death along with a guy who can suplex a train!

I’ve been enjoying FFVII Remake though, and planning to get Rebirth once I’m done with it

I’ve been taking a trip through some of these “love letters” to “classic JRPGS” and I’ve got to say… I’m absolutely on board with the way these indy devs are paying homage to the classics. Sea of Stars, Chained Echoes…hell, even the star ocean second story remake was a great nostalgia trip. I just started Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes and it’s already got the makings of a solid game.

With a roster like that…who needs giant ass, bombastic, overpriced garbage? Give me a good story, loveable characters, and a journey that shows me what’s over the next hill.

I have a PS5. Got FF7:Remake the minute it came out. Now I’m in a position where I want to play Rebirth so much I want to experience it on my best device, my PC.
