I was thinking the other way around. Pretty long for that type of violation, but I haven’t read the article yet. It’s making me think it’s probably data on quite a few patients which would, or at least should, give them a longer sentence.
Just 10 years for violating HIPAA? I would thing it would be longer
He probably won’t get anywhere close to 10 years, if he even gets prison time.
