I read an article on the Reddit group and it mentioned a place that I go to in my area of New York. They busted a few other places in New Jersey that was ran by the same person. I walked past it today and there is signs on the windows and doors. Doesn’t seems that mongers got arrested.
Even if it is in a hotel room or house, they still need to prove solicitation. What happens between consenting adults is not a crime. They need to have you agreeing to do a sex act for $$ or something of value (like trading drugs for sex).
You’re probably right, but it feels like to me it would be easier to make that argument if I’m in the hotel or house of someone who I don’t know and don’t have much reason to be there versus a business in an area zoned for business.
And even if they can’t make the legal argument and convict me, they may be able to arrest me and investigate. Which would have impacts on my life as well even if I am ultimately “proven” innocent.
I will probably take the plunge eventually. I just haven’t done it yet.

But what is wrong to have two consenting adults making love? Can’t we just fall in love with each other when I walk by the door and she happens to open the door? We are animals!
