    Because their audiobook platform requires DRM. They don’t want you to own the audio file. If you owned it, you could take it with you, you could share it, and you could copy it.

      Just found out they charge a 75% commission (60% if you sign an exclusive contract with them). Oh, and they get to completely control the pricing. Guess that makes them the real authors.
