idk if every state allows this, but where I live, I go directly inside the courthouse building and drop my absentee ballot off in their elections office, they do allow it. my ballot stays inside of a locked, secured building. there’s outdoor collections too, but they are a open target to vandals. I’d hate to hear about a fire at the collection box I used!

Unfortunately, the most secure boxes are also closed and unavailable for those of us who work day shift.
