The fact that they wanted 50% to vote for a measure that requires all future measures to required 60% is the real “fuck you” part of this.
The GOP should have put its money wheres it mouth was and required a 60% yea vote on this bill for it to go into effect. Real odd how 50% was fine this one last time when it was to remove a nearly 100yr old piece of state democracy.
The good news is that the people of Ohio are not as stupid or apathetic about their rights as the state Republican party hoped. They voted for freedom and democracy today, and I’m proud of them.
This .measure would not have passed if this law had passed…only 57% at 97% tallied…
