I want it to stay sprung forward, can’t remember if that’s DST or non. I feel like I’m in the minority, but fuck if I care if it’s dark in the morning I want sunlight for longer once I’m done working…

DST is sprung forward. It happens in the summer. Standard time is what the northern hemisphere is on now in the winter.

Fun fact. In the winter the sun is pretty close to its highest at Noon but I the summer that happens at 1:00 pm.

I suppose it makes some difference how far East to West you are in your timezone too, but this time of year I’m dark on my way to work and dark on my way home, if we were still in DST I’d have an hour of sunlight still after work. It’s only about 6 weeks that are that extreme for me but I’d still prefer DST. And I love the long summer nights when it’s light until almost 10 lol

I knew that in the sense of sunrise and sunset times, but thought maybe in terms of the sun being overhead at noon for example would travel north to South?

The EU’s proposed DST abolishment proposal would go to permanent DST time, too.

Unfortunate that it has been in the back burner for so long. It would genuinely be a good boon for the EU tech industry to abolish DST lol.

Same. This was part of Rubio’s “Sunshine Protection” think a couple years back, but does NOT seem to be part of that Trump has discussed so far.
