…does that make me ineligible for this channel?

A while ago, I bought a purpose built knife sharpener appliance, on impulse, immediately, after seeing an ad. The sort of response that advertisers dream of. Have not regretted it. Dull knives are annoying to work with.

Work Sharp something or other, and, yes. We have a fancy set of knives, it’s a shame to let them go bad. I try to avoid looking like a product placement, but since you asked…

My wife bought me a work sharp something… it uses belts instead of wheels and is amazing for my pocket knives (most knives really)!

I use a more traditional wheel type one for the kitchen knives because I heard the more beveled edge from the belt one wouldn’t hone as well (and I’m too lazy to constantly sharpen).

I was looking into that one. I currently have a work sharp kit that uses stones on an arm. I don’t like that it ends up sharpening in an arc causing the sharpening angle to change across the length of the blade.

I’ve got the work sharp field sharpener and I adore it. I use the ceramic rod and strop to keep my chef’s knife sharp. Pull the thing out before I start making dinner and three minutes later it’s like I’m using a brand new knife. I used to have the Wirecutter pick (a big electric thing) and this is just so much better in every way. Cheaper, smaller, faster, better results.
