If Pike makes Kirk look like an aggressive wildcard, Reynolds would make Kirk look like a bank clerk. The running theme in the show would be how, each episode, he barely dodges a court marshal for whatever he did.

No clue. I honestly don’t watch that much TV anymore. A younger Richard Dean Anderson might have been interesting in the role. Who to cast for Burgoyne though, half of the out non-binary actors are already in modern Trek, lol. (Also kudos to Peter David for the non-binary representation in the 90s, wow.)

Which would cause more mayhem, Malcom Reynolds, just trying to survive, or Katherine Janeway getting coffee?

Edit: also it’s Court Martial. As in Martial (Military) Court. The Marshalls aren’t coming to arrest you in Starfleet, no guarantee of that in the 'verse I suppose

You should replace the Starfleet badge with a Stargate Battlestar Galactica one.

Edited because I realized the BSG badge would be less obvious and goes in the same place on the uniform. Stargate patches go on the shoulder, not the chest. If you replaced the delta with a lieutenant badge, you’d need a keen eye to notice it.

The mistake Whedon made was not slapping Star Trek or Star Wars branding on it. They could have gotten 5 seasons like Disco.

I was thinking more like they just say it’s Star Trek but make the show identical to Firefly.

It was a reference about how Disco wasn’t anything like Trek other than they called it Star Trek. A similar thing was done with Foundation and Dirk Gently. It’s not like Dirk Gently was bad. I really liked it. But it had absolutely nothing in common with the books.

I don’t get it. Why did you put the guy from Red Dwarf in front of the moon?

EDIT: I’ll be annoyed in Harrison Ford actually is in Red Dwarf and spoils my joke, I’ve never actually seen it
