Is this issue already known by the developer ? Not just in this instance, but in some of the lemmy instances as well with the size cookies going crazy
Before this upgrade, the cookie on this instance was about 89 B. What’s going on ?

I looked at mine out of curiosity and holy cow. Yeah, something is up. I think it might be a lemmy 0.18.0 thing.
Possibly. When I logged into another lemmy instance too, the cookies goes crazy. I notice in detail it’s in their “Storage Cache”.
Even YouTube only has around 40MB and I never clean their cookies for years.
Yeah about 216MB here. No idea why
I didn’t even know you could make a cookie that big. I assumed each browser had a limit of a single mb.
Definitely worth opening an issue for, I wonder if it is nsfw patch specific or not. Can you check your cookie size from a different instance?

Looking through the (Firefox) devtools, there is only one cookie (being my login token), but a fair bit of cached images (and IndexedDB data for managing said cache), which is what I assume most of that size is.
I wonder if it is related to how the browser is reading the websites. With the new version, I noticed I now have scripts from every instance that is ‘touched’ in any way running, rather than just the instance I’m using and viewing the others through.
