This sort of behavior is only justified when an officers life is threatened
This sort of behavior is typically justified by the officers feelings being hurt or because they wanted to.

As long as the community is beating the hell out of out of the cops and mayor while they ‘withhold judgement’, cool.
your tax money pays for this
Probably a unpopular opinion but this looks like an “everyone sucks here” situation. I’ll bet this women came in yelling and screaming at the officers about “cuffing her baby”. There’s at least one point where she’s clearly throwing hands herself and I certainly don’t expect the officers to just stand there and take that. Even when the “on the ground” punch from the bald cop was thrown you can see that they’re struggling back against the cop, and I’m not sure if people just expect that once they’re on the losing side of a fight with cops that the police are just supposed to say “our bad go ahead and leave”. That’s kind of a fuck around and find out situation.
That said, fuck the police.
Policemen who are not capable to render a single woman helpless in a standard arrest situation without beating her up or shooting her dead have failed their job.
Yes, she was fighting, but she was no kung fu master or superhero, and there was more than one policeman.
Watched the videos. Agree. Mom came in all pissed off and started shit. No wonder her kid was arrested for fighting, look at the piece of shit mother he has.
So now it’s a learning experience.
Mom gets to learn that violence is not how to solve problems. Son gets to learn that “consequences for actions” is for everyone.
Hopefully Mom gets a bunch of community service and anger management. The kid too.
Agreed. Obligatory ACAB, but the fact that they are always bastards doesn’t mean they are always wrong. This looks like a pretty reasonable response.
Brave of you to bring nuance into this discussion
Making shit up to play devil’s advocate isn’t nuance.
I might lose some less than imaginary internet points. :)
