What happens when you type in a single letter into any search box? You get to see a list seven times as long as the diameter of the observable universe. I learned that the hard way when I tried to download Z (an RTS game made in 1996). Apparently searching for things online wasn’t that big at the time, so the developers didn’t realize the importance of SEO.

With X-twitter, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Google and Apple show the correct app first regardless of which name you search for. Maybe people aren’t even searching for the app in the first place. Maybe they are looking for twitter, find something not named twitter, and end up installing nothing.
