Even if Burggit becomes an island in the fediverse, I don’t see that as an issue. I currently enjoy the community we have here, if I need to view discussions on another instance I can just make a different account there. It’s not that different than having multiple rddit accounts for different topics. It’s actually a bit easier as I don’t have to log out of one to access another.
kind of agreed, i always just type “b” and burggit.moe comes out directly, and I can check this as a community of communities. On the other hand, I also sometimes wish I had access to all I love from Lemmy in one account only. This was my hope with lemm.ee, but that hope is dead.

tbh i only cared cuz i used lemm.ee a lot, it was the last big one that hadn’t defederated anything significant, but now it’s gone forever & ever & i’m sad & i’ll dm the admin & try to persuade him to undefed but i have no hope anymore (*kills self over a random instance*)
I mean, they don’t allow porn. I wouldn’t be surprised if they one day defederate every instance that has a NSFW channel.
The admin is going to enable viewing NSFW. He said he would enable it very soon, and he enabled it for me manually on my account, and within an hour he had also defederated burggit, which meant that… it was useless… my nsfw was blocked from sight anyway. :( It made me sad. I had been waiting to see his “were not defederating from anything” message which came, I was waiting for when he enabled nsfw which he had promised, which came, and when those two came, he also banned burggit which I was expecting to have from there.
