This is my greatest anxiety about the chance of having a gay child. I mean, alongside the systemic oppression they will face.

But also, I’m both afraid I’ll make this joke and regret it. And also afraid I’ll pass on the chance to make this joke and regret it.

Plus the systemic oppression thing. That too.

Just make the joke, it is your obligation as a father. It would also greatly diffuse the situation and cooly tell your kid that you’re fine with it and still love them, and that nothing will change between you two.

I’ll hold onto that. Hopefully my kids would worry about me if I somehow didn’t make the joke, at this point, anyway.

As someone who came out and didn’t speak to their father for a year, this would have been a much better response to my coming out.

We’re good now though, it’s been 30 years.

The best part about the cartoon is that you can pass the joke at first, then send the cartoon later anyway

These eyes look really wrong and weird, considering that the remaining drawing looks realistic.

Yeah! How dare the artist protect their work and ensure they are credited when it gets shared! The audacity.

I disagree. Content theft is more rampant than ever. The only people who are truly bothered by watermarks like this are the ones who would be stealing it and reposting it without credit.

And if you care about content theft, then you’re not worth your content being stolen. So things better, not worse.

There’s a good chance the artist has seen their work being shared elsewhere without any mention to the author so I don’t blame them.

Not plastering over literally every single mm^2 would be a start, but what do I know, as a user/viewer, I’m supposed to just look and not criticize (according to the rest of the troglodytes).

You are free to say whatever you like, and of couse everyone else can agree or disagree with you. But apparently whoever disagrees is a troglodyte, so I guess you are always right. Didn’t even notice the watermark till you pointed it out.

Tell me you’re legally blind without telling me you’re legally blind.

How would you make an effective watermark? I have only heard this way of stopping people from stealing your work so im curious if there are better alternatives
