    I just tried and failed to upload an image too, perhaps there’s a problem (although the server feels snappy enough).

    @[email protected] are there any limits on image uploads?

      There is no limit. I will check if there is an error. Thank you for feedback.

      Edit: Checked it, there is a 20mb per upload limit.

        It feels very much like some timeout, since it’s always a little over 10 seconds. I’m uploading images that are at most a few hundred kB, so they’re not particularly big in bytes or pixels.

                  It’s most likely pict-rs which is the image hosting/picture storage software lemmy uses. Other instances have had similar problems.

                    Sounds like an educated guess instead of logs with errors?

                    I checked the pict-rs issues and there’s no issue about it (although maybe the maintainer already knows).

                    Also, this chat has made this imageless post top of the hot list for /c/porn, perhaps we should continue somewhere else 😅
