not sure anyone that has ever run to be or has been president that publicly stated their support of the LGBTQ+ community so openly

fingers crossed Kamala will actually bring much needed change if elected

Two cycles ago (Obama v Romney) was the first time a candidate even openly supported gay marriage. We are still in the infancy of queer liberation

remember still being allowed to vote back then and voted for Obama

that change and hope never came into existence instead he dropped all the progress, we got Trump then Biden, and here we are

the fact Harris is at least willing to be this open gives some hope more than before

Gay marriage became legal for all states during Obama’s administration, I’d call that progress.

            why?

Obama did the same thing Biden did

came in on a huge progressive agenda and yes glad we got somewhere on marriage equality but what else did they do?

a few things every few decades is not enough and is not progress

they left office with the minimum wage at $7.25, the healthcare situation was no better, they have the same views with the middle east, and almost everything else they campaigned on did not bear fruit

hoping Harris keeps the fire lit that she going in on over the next four years

Actually trying to get shit done is amazingly moderating - turns out the president doesn’t have the power to wish things into existence.
