Is there just low interest or are there other areas people have found to explore this?
I think it’s just super easy for a community here to drop off the various front page sorts and be unnoticed.
Lemmy’s growing slowly and niche communities can take a bit to get started. It can often help if someone posts regularly for a bit to attract people.
I think this just happens to be a niche community, on a platform that didn’t quite take off like it could have. Tbh, I don’t often see content that matches here…
I’m still here, keeping an eye on things in a sense.
A few months ago I was trying to get this, and a few other communities going, by posting actively and the like but I got pretty burned out and had to focus on other things.
I am not sure lemmy has the population yet to reach the point where communities can be self sustaining. I suspect those that are active are being kept so by a small handful of dedicated users, and when those users leave for one reason or another, the community fades.
I lurk here, im interested in content like art or discussions. I’d love to participate more if there are more posts
