Mercury has an average surface temperature of around 167°C, Venus is much hotter with an average of 464°C

This just adds to the joke, right? 1st world problems being problems which would be wildly undermined if compared to other’s problems.

The year was 2174 - Humans decide they want to Make Venus habitable by converting the atmosphere into one suitable to humans.

The year was 2182 - oops, 7 planets in the solar system you say? How the fuck did we do that bad

I think I could live with the scale error, and even forgive the lack of asteroid belt, if only Venus wasn’t smaller than Mercury.

… Maybe I’m taking this a little too seriously.

Right? Venus, Earth, and Mars should all be pretty similar. Mercury should be about the size of the moon or a little bigger. Jupiter doesn’t need to be fuck off huge, but at least a bit bigger than Saturn.

Is a planet a world ? Is the world the universe ? I’ve heard the earth being called “the world” but never other planets.

It depends. If the planet is sentient, as in the context of a joke, then probably okay to call it a world. But other times? Hell no.

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
