This is from Chapter 7 of Jules Markham’s book. Domestic Discipline. Here is discussed methods like corner time, writing lines, etc.

I’m migrating to PixelFed to host book chapters and other source material. Please comment with opinions on it. Imgur is easier to upload, but supporting the fediverse matters.

Imgur is jam-packed with trackers and other anti-privacy junk, PixelFed looks completely clean. I think there may be significant improvements in page loading speed with PixelFed too. Plus fediverse, as you mentioned. I’d be more likely to share the content with others for all the above reasons too. For me, both the logo (somewhat) and word ‘pixel’ evoked google - a company I don’t support - at first viewing, but after a brief (Duckduckgo) search it seems completely unrelated. A thumbs-up from this spanko!

Hey! So, PixelFed is Open Source and uses ActivityPub like Lemmy and Mastodon. There’s some potential for integration between these projects down the line. But like Lemmy, PixelFed is in alpha and pretty buggy. The web interface is disastrous. Super cumbersome. But, like you said, NO TRACKING. It protects user privacy in ways imgur (and everyone else) doesn’t. So, if the community can deal with it, I’d like to stick with PixelFed and hope for the best.

      Thanks, BTW!
