…But more conversations have followed, including dialogues with other high-ranking Russian officials past 2022 and into this year. One of the officials was Sergei Kiriyenko, Putin’s first deputy chief of staff, two of the officials said. What the two talked about isn’t clear.

Last month, the U.S. Justice Department said in an affidavit that Kiriyenko had created some 30 internet domains to spread Russian disinformation, including on Musk’s X, where it was meant to erode support for Ukraine and manipulate American voters ahead of the presidential election.

Later that year, Musk’s view of the conflict appeared to change. In September, Ukrainian military operatives weren’t able to use Starlink terminals to guide sea drones to attack a Russian naval base in Crimea… . …His space company extended restrictions on the use of Starlink in offensive operations by Ukraine

Elon is in Putin’s pocket somehow. That seems pretty likely.

I bet all that security Musk hires is because he’s afraid of defenestration, lol.

This has national security concerns. He shouldn’t be near anything requiring a security clearance, which likely means he shouldn’t be CEO of SpaceX.

Also shouldn’t be in charge of a popular social media site. Even ignoring that he can probably read private messages as easily as the public ones, the moderation power alone is too much for IMO any private entity to have.

And yeah, I would also apply that to legacy media and other popular media sites.

Always knew Musk cozying up to Trump was probably because some charges would be coming down the line.

Just didn’t think it would be treasonous

I may be wrong, but I get the impression that the US legal system does not allow for real (not a $3.50 fine) prosecution of oligarchs/high end organized crime outside of some edge cases (Theranos, Madoff) where it’s physically impossible to come up with an excuse.

That crime family running a “legal” opiate distribution cartel comes to mind.

So is this the immigrant scum we were warned about?

Reminder: Musk is originally from South Africa
