Replying to comments is erroring out for me but he’s been doing this for a over a year.

Prep was over an hour but making the rolls was about 30 to 40 minutes. He very meticulous about the whole process. He’s half Japanese and his mother is loving special weekend dinners at our house.

The white fish there is yellowtail!

“wow it looks like actual sushi!”

Quote from friends after my partner and I put together a big sushi dinner. Yours looks amazing and also like real sushi :)

Pardon the overly curious question, but how much did that cost you? It looks stunning but I can’t help but wonder how many legs I’d have to sell to make something like that haha

He usually buys the fish wholesale. Per meal its cheaper than us going out to the nearest sushi spot…and so much better!

He goes to a restaurant supply market to get fish or if he’s in the area he’ll just go to this Asian market. 1 yellowtail will last nearly 3 days with 3 to 4 of us.
