The Republican-led state of Missouri asked a judge on Monday to block the U.S. Justice Department from sending lawyers to St. Louis on Election Day to monitor for compliance with federal voting rights laws, even after the city’s election board agreed to permit it.

This is how you know Republicans don’t care about election integrity

Damn, crazy how people keep insisting we have a free and fair election system, then do shit like this.

Didn’t you ever play with a kid who always cried “NO FAIR!” any time he lost something? That’s, like, half our country right now…

Free and fair for them, not for you…

MO’s not likely to swing the presidential election, but the eyes on them are essential nonetheless

I’m voting to restore health rights to my wife and daughter! And that’s just in addition to saving democracy. Here’s to cancelling out the rednecks’ votes!

we find ourselves in the uncommon predicament in which the popular vote actually matters, if only to neuter a fascist clown who will cry no matter the outcome.

I had to travel to the ass end of the county to vote early for Harris. Purely anecdotal, more women than men by a good bit. And the poll workers were commenting on the unusual volume. Still too much lead poisoning to counteract. So trump is still likely. But this could be closer than we think.

The supermajority in the stage legislature is at stake, as well as several Federal House seats.

Gerrymandering, baby! If you think it sucks at the national level, it gets even worse in the states.

Some of these districts are so heavily cracked/packed that Dems would need north of a 70% turnout advantage to take a simple majority.

Thing is, you can’t gerrymander between husband and wife. Wouldn’t it be something if the wife vote showed up for Harris in MO.

That’s the noise. But the idea that women can’t be just as fascist as their husbands never seems to bare out IRL.
