I have been a passive viewer in this community for a long time. I know who various users are, what they post about, and what their views are. I am well aware that what I am saying is something that quite a few agree with, and quite a few dismiss outright. I also think it is time we start to address reality.

The world is trending in a very bad direction for us. “Right wing” (not a very useful term in my opinion, but you get the idea) ideologies across the globe are growing, and they do not care about the distinction between transmed and tucutes or whatever else you want to call it. The average person sees it as all the same, does not care about it, and will not do anything for us. Nobody cares about us or what we believe or who we are. As far as the vast majority of people are concerned, we are all weird.

This community needs to stop sitting back and idly complaining and posting the same tired screenshots of random teenagers on a variety of platforms who by and large have never even started transition in any meaningful way and never will. We need to organize. We need to build up community resources. We need to be having serious discussions and trying to help each other. It’s time to quit whining about kids on TikTok and do something for ourselves.

There are existing resources for trans people, yes. Many of these are integrated into local lgbt groups, which can sometimes not be ideal. I know that I and many others in this community have either been shunned by or kicked out of these groups for a variety of reason and in a variety of ways. I want us to start organizing for ourselves, because at the end of the day our condition does tie us together and we should support each other. I don’t know any of you on a personal level, and none of you know me. Regardless, I care about you all, I feel deep sympathy for you all, and I love each and every one of you as human beings. I want us to start having serious discussions about what we can do and how we can do it. I already know not everyone agrees with this, but it needs to start happening yesterday.

I have ideas about what this would look like, but I think that putting anything forward needs to come after we come to a consensus that building resources is what we need to do. I would also like to see some comment on this from the mods. Y’all direct what way this sub goes and you would be pivotal to doing this. Pointless bickering is pretty much the main theme of this sub and has been for quite a while. Let’s please stop fighting each other, start acting like adults, and make strides toward being a community instead of jumping down each others throats over every little thing.

Also I’m sorry for the run on sentences, but I am not an English major and I don’t care.
