        You have it backwards. Liking Luigi is popular, which is precisely what makes it inappropriate for r/unpopularopinion.

      Same for most of the other topics listed there, they are at best controversional. And I imagine discussing Mangione, Trump or spez gets really old after a while on a sub like that.
