Unless your videos are complete shit, I doubt you would just get a single view. Every time I make a new YouTube channel (because I can’t make up my mind) I get like few hundred views under each video easily over few months.
It might be that this was before YouTube started recommending random low-view count videos to people. Lots of graveyard videos from that time
