It’s strange, probably catfishing for who knows what.

It depends on your budget and what you’re after. Doxy make some of the best external vibrators out there. Njoy make stainless steel toys that will turn you into a squirt queen in no time.
There’s also bad dragon and similar inspired brands if you want something really different
If you’re living in dorms, you’ll probably want some that is easily hidden, I found a straight hard plastic dildo was best, it was easily hidden in a sock or wrap it in clothes to and from the shower, plus no noise so its discrete when other people are nearby. You’ll also need lube, I prefer water-based lube, but if you’re using it in the shower silcone-based is better.
