The engineers work for him. If they tell them they’re not safe, he has an obligation to do the right thing and not put it to market. If they tell him its safe but its not, he has an obligation to pull it from market. He culpable for the actions of his company.

Notice how he specifies that he technically never “physically” hurt anyone.
But damaging his product and brand is “violence.”
also he has absolutely physically hurt people. I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but he has.
Provably all the people that died when his cars blew up or drowned them
well, you could argue that was his engineers; he just sold the things.

I’m not sure why the distinction between his professional and personal life is important.
that’s fair. I’m just saying it’s not all greed, he’s also a horrible piece of shit in more familiar pedestrian ways.
