I watched a couple episodes but it was still…meh. I need to go back and watch more.

Does it have characters who mostly are people you respect, have strong morals, act like grownups? A general sense of optimism, even in tough scenarios? No sadistic need to constantly makr things darker, edgier, dystopian? That’s some of the biggest stuff that appeals to me about, say, TNG that keeps being missing.
