The Velvet Wand was unusually still that afternoon, the air thrumming with an expectant energy that seemed to cling to its magical wares. Tessa was at the counter, polishing a sentient mirror that occasionally chirped, “You missed a spot!” She was lost in thought, her mind drifting to how Mimble’s sharp wit and confident presence always sent an unwelcome warmth to her cheeks—and lower.

Her reverie was broken by the bell’s chime as the shop door opened. A tall, ethereal elf with a demeanor of practiced arrogance swept inside. Their robes shimmered like moonlight on water, and their expression was one of someone used to having their whims indulged.

“Madam Mimble,” the elf began in a melodic tone, “I have come to procure something extraordinary for an intimate soirée I’m hosting. A demonstration will be necessary, of course.”

Mimble stepped forward, her usual sly grin in place. “You’ve come to the right shop, darling. What sort of… extraordinary are we aiming for?”

“I require something that creates a shared experience,” the elf said, their gaze sharp. “Something that will leave my guests enchanted and begging for more.”

Mimble’s eyes glinted with mischief. “Ah, the Reflective Restraints might be just what you’re looking for. Tessa, fetch them.”

Tessa returned with a sleek, silvery set of enchanted cuffs. They shimmered as if alive, faint ripples of energy cascading across their surface.

“Whatever sensation the wearer experiences is shared by anyone they touch,” Mimble explained, holding them up. “And it amplifies everything tenfold.”

The elf’s lips curled into a satisfied smile. “I’ll take them—once I’ve seen them in action. And I insist you demonstrate, Madam Mimble.”

Tessa blinked, then slowly turned to her boss, who suddenly looked less assured.

“I usually have my assistant—”

“No,” the elf interrupted with a wave of their hand. “Only the master of the shop can provide the expertise I require.”

Mimble’s confident smirk faltered for the briefest moment. Tessa’s own lips twitched upward, barely suppressing a grin.

“It’s only fair,” Tessa said sweetly, handing the cuffs to the elf.

With a flourish, the elf snapped the cuffs around Mimble’s wrists. The moment the restraints locked, they flared to life. A wave of energy radiated outward, and Mimble inhaled sharply, her fingers twitching as the magic surged through her.

“Interesting,” Mimble said, her voice a touch unsteady. “Tingly. Warm. Hardly overwhelming—”

The elf, thumbing the manual, murmured a command and the cuffs glowed brighter. This time, the magic surged with a deeper intensity, wrapping itself around Mimble’s body like molten silk. Her breath hitched audibly, and her knees bent slightly as the sensation flowed over her skin and into her core.

“Oh… gods,” Mimble muttered, her voice husky.

“What does it feel like?” Tessa asked innocently, though her eyes sparkled with something far from innocent.

“It’s… exquisite,” Mimble admitted grudgingly, her voice trembling as the enchantment pulsed again. “Like every nerve is being… teased… stretched thin…” She swallowed hard, her hands gripping the counter as another wave cascaded over her, rolling through her in waves of relentless, concentrated pleasure.

Her back arched involuntarily, her composure slipping as her lips parted to release a low, unbidden moan. “By the gods… it’s—”

Effective?” Tessa offered, unable to resist.

Mimble glared at her, but the effect was ruined by another pulse that sent her shuddering. Her cheeks flushed a deep crimson, and her breath came faster.

“Very promising” the elf said before bowing over the manual and utters the magical command he marked with his finger “does the effect change now.?”

The cuffs seemed to grow even bolder, each wave of magic probing deeper, sharper, more thorough. Mimble’s legs shook, and a soft, desperate whimper escaped her lips before she could catch it.

The enchanted objects around the shop immediately chimed in.

“Well, someone’s having a revelatory afternoon,” remarked the sarcastic feather duster.

The Love Beads twirled in gleeful circles. “I like her noises. She should keep going!”

Mimble clenched her jaw, attempting to muster her usual biting retort, but another wave hit her, this one cresting into something she couldn’t suppress. Her entire body trembled, her nails digging into the counter as a shuddering gasp escaped her.

“Oh, Madam Mimble,” Tessa teased, her own cheeks flushed from the scene. “I didn’t realize these were so… thorough.”

“Do. Not,” Mimble managed through gritted teeth before another pulse dragged a guttural moan from her. Her head tipped back, and for a long, electrifying moment, she was entirely undone.

“Marvelous,” the elf said, clapping slowly. “I’ll take them.”

Tessa stepped forward to unclasp the cuffs, her hands lingering just a moment longer than necessary. Mimble’s breathing slowed, and she stood upright with as much dignity as she could muster, though her flushed cheeks and slightly trembling legs betrayed her.

“You’ve made an excellent choice,” Mimble said, her voice rough but steady.

The elf handed over a pouch of gold and departed with a satisfied smile, the bell jingling in their wake.

Once the door shut, Mimble turned to Tessa. “Not. One. Word.”

Tessa raised her hands in mock innocence. “I wouldn’t dream of it. But for the record, you have a lovely moan.”

Mimble’s glare could have melted steel, but Tessa caught the faintest twitch of amusement at the corner of her lips.

“Well,” Mimble said finally, brushing her hair back and smoothing her dress. “I suppose you’ll be having far too much fun remembering this.”

“Oh, you have no idea,” Tessa replied, biting her lip as warmth bloomed low in her stomach.

As Mimble turned away, the enchanted tickler whispered loudly, “You know she enjoyed it, right?”

Mimble flicked her fingers, silencing it with a wave of magic, but Tessa swore she saw her smile as she walked to the back room
