Holy crap! I just realized that Paul Stamets from Star Trek Discovery might actually be named after Paul Stamets. I am slow and kinda stupid sometimes.

For those who don’t know, Paul Stamets is the IRL mycelium king. Him and his brother pioneered mushroom cultivation and the promotion of psychedelics.

Someone chose to put that on their body permanently.
